The 935 was the ultimate development of the 911. In 1976 a single turbocharger helped the wildly modified flat-6 put out 590bhp at 7,900rpm. For short races, a higher turbo boost yielded well over 600bhp! The end result was one of the most competitive sports racers in the history of motorsport; 5 world championships and 32 major victories between 1976 and 1981, including Le Mans and Daytona.
